Big News

I am now very excited becauseI just got a chance for my job interview next Wednesday!!!!!! I can't believe it!! I know that I haven't written anything on this blog for a long while after I came back from UK. Well, my days were nice, hanging around with my mom and sometimes went visiting my friends who are still studying in Hsin-Chu and Tainan. Also I had once went to the cheerleading practice and now I am going to a wind band with my brother every saturday. (Attention: we are having a tiny performance this Sunday !) At the same time I have to fix my teeth because i have some problems with my root-channal(I think this is what it is called) so~~~ busy, busy, busy, and wish me luck next Wednesday.......'cause I'm now being very nervous.

Done!!

I finally finish my last piece for the master degree-----my dissertation!!! After two weeks suffering with this horrible work, I am now very happy to say----I did it!!!!! During these two weeks I was like in the hell of typing. Typing, typing, typing, and that's what I've done for the last 15 days. When I finally finish my last word this afternoon I felt a relief and now I can think about nothing but sleep. Now I've send it to my proof readers, thanks a lot for them, and I will take one day off tomorrow, and start the work with abstract and editing. YAPEE~~~

Blackpool, Lake District, York

right, I know that I should have written this a week ago, but please please forgive me that this isn't so interesting to write the same thing twice, especially it took me 2~3 days to write my Chinese one. The trip was generally good......except the weather. I can't believe that during the days that we were having a trip, it rained every single day urhhhh~~~. The first stop of our trip was Blackpool. Jasmin's friend had once been there and suggested us to go. It was basically a tourists city..I think. Most of the people we saw on the road are tourists and most of them went there for party( there are lots of party room in city centre). We went to the Blackpool Tower, where they said the highest post box in England is lacated. On the next two days, we headed to Lake District. It was amazing....and raining, again. But the scenery is awsome and we stayed in a lovely B&B with friendly hosts. After that we went to York, lovely, historical city. But luckly it stopped raining when we were having the ghost hunt walk......strongly recommand......the old guide was so dramatic and we just can't stop laughing. The Castle Museum is cool, too!! Nice weekend

I had a great weekend this week. I went to Roath Park yesturday and Barry Island today. They both have nice scenary and I enjoyed the holiday. See the pictures for Roath Park and the pictures for Barry Island.

Hot

Extremely hot. I feel like melting in my own room. According to BBC weather, this week will reamain up to 33 C, oh my god. Last night I finally finish HP 6. Can't stop reading it, I slept at 2:30am without noticing it has gone really late. I quite this one....much better than the previous one I think. In the fifth book HP just acted like a grumpy, nasty kid but this time he makes me feel that he has really grown up!!! Since it's a year after this book published, I think most of people had read this book already. But I feel a bit strange about Harry's 'love love' thing....it's just wierd for me. But I enjoy the reading though.

New York

I went to New York last week for my cousin's wedding. It was so cool 'cause I can also see my mom and my brother there- I haven't seen them for a long long while. Before the wedding I took them to see Manhatten around becuase my cousin was busy on her wedding. We had lots of 'big' meal- I think I might gained some weight because of this. On the wedding day, we arrived 3 hours before the ceromony and took the pictures with the family. My cousin was so prety on that day- in Taiwan there's an expression like a woman looks the most beautiful when she gets married( something like this, I'm not so sure about it) but she is beautiful. The party was very American wedding but also very fun, I had never had attended a wedding like this. My mom likes it, too. We had a photobooth, taking pictures, so I took lots of pictures with my mom, my brother, my cousin and my youngest cousin. After the wedding, we were so tired so we all took a day off and stayed at home. On the next day I went see a friend in Boston. We spent a lot of time on talking and eating...........then I came back.:P

Thank you for smoking

I went to see this movie today. It is about a lobbist of Tobacco industry who needs to promote cigarertte in the time when people are concern about the health hazard by cigarette. Nick Naylor, the main charactor, he using argument and twisted logic to place the difficult situation. The movie is quite good, I have to say. At first when Jasmin told me this is a movie about a PR person I think maybe I should have a look of it. The movie might exagerate the situation but it is worth to see it.

Cats

I went to see the musical Cats today. It was really great I have to say. I think the musical is no longer showing in West End and Broadway, right? It is really good to have a chance to see it here, New Theatre in Cardiff. I bought the ticket for the fornt stalls and it is only

￡24.....much cheaper than the tickets in Taiwan. Before I went to the show, Jasmin and I went for a lunch. When we walked in Queen's Arched, we saw two performers wearing their costume spreading the flyers. I was so excited about that, and I went forward and I asked them if I can touch their ears!!! It was so cool because I thought it is suppose to be some costume in cat-ear shape, but it's not!!!! It's the performer's hair, I can't believe it!!!!During the show we can see the cats running up and down of the stage and they even came behind our seats!!!!! I love the dancing and the music.Although the stage isn't big enough (well comparing with the stage in west ends) but still I had a great time this afternoon.

I think there were about 20 performers? But I this one the most-

he's so cute. Everytime when he came up to the stage then I started laughing. It's a pity that we bought the tickets in the central of the row- it is suppose to be the best seat for other shows but not for this one. The cats ran all around the theatre and they just can't come near by me.....I'm so keen to have a really close contact with them>.<

Well still I enjoyed the show, and I love the dancing so much. Wish there's DVD releasing and then I can learn the dancing!!

someone has gone mad last night

After a drink with my new flatmate I went to sleep at 12. While I was sleeping I heard something noisy out of my window- I thought it was a cat or a tramp looking for something to eat from the garbage. Not until I heard someone shouting did I realise that it was a student from our hall. He was absolutely mad and was saying something like someone has taken his pot from his kitchen or something. This morning when I talked to my flatmate Nicki I was just crazy about that because he did that during midnight when I was sleeping and both Nicki and I went to sleep hardly afterwards. Anyway, I'm glad he cleaned things up otherwise it would be my turn to get mad ( the bin is just in front of my window).

Dinner

I went for a dinner with my coursemates yesturday. It's really sad that we are all leaving after the course and it's really hard to see each other because we are living all around the world. So Kate arranged the dinner and there were about 20 people coming( thanks Kate!!).
I met Jasmin and Andrew in front of the library. Then we saw Lulu, Katherin, Mary on our way. Then others came. We had our year book and everyone just wrote some notes to each other. The meal was fine I think, although some people didn't have enough stuff to eat and mine is just to big!! When my meal was serving, Kate and Vasili just cried out: Cynthia your meal is even bigger than you!! After the meal we went to a bar, had a drink. Kris and Savanah were curious about some romour about me and they asked me like: are you seeing somebody recently? This really make me laugh 'cause I've heard about 'that' romour many times and I don't know even Kris and Savanah had heard about it, too!! Haha!!
When I went back to my room, I was too tired and fell asleep directly.

Hot!!

After 2 weeks of raining days we now have lovely, bright, sunshine days for the whole week since this Wednesday. We were quite lucky, because Wednesday was the day Jasmin and I went to Birmingham to see Michael Flatley's 'Celtic Tiger'. The show was great, I couldn't say anything more. After we came back from Shrewsbury then it is the continously hot days. I can't believe it!! How can I survive after I go back to Taiwan???

maybe I'm not a 'beach friendly person'

Everytime I went to the beach, the weather was always bad. Either cloudy days or pouring days or snowing days. Just like today. I went to Gower with Kate and her family~it is her birthday today( Happy Birthday Kate!!). I've been here once during X'mas, and it was still beautiful here. After the three clips(?? I think this is what the place called??) we went to Arthur's Stone, well they said King Arthur kicked the stone here because he was angry, but I am not familiar with King Arthur so never mind:D Kate's mom told me that they went here to see the eclipes in 1999, how funny I was here in GB as well!! But I was in Sidmouth. When we walked back to the car I found my cell phone's missing. It's so depress because it had heavy rain out there and her boyfriend was trying to ring my phone and to find it (sorry>.<). At the end I just gave up finding it and we went back to the pub to have dinner~~it's intersting because her sister kept saying that she wants to dye her hair into black( she has lovely blond hair) and I tried to persuad her not to do so. After the dinner, we were ready to head back to Cardiff, we sang happy birthday for Kate (in Welsh, but I don't know how) and we'll have her birthday party on Saturday!!

Lovely days

We had a lovely week this week. Yesturday Jasmin and I decided to take some pictures in Alexander Garden today because the flowers are so pretty. So, I went out @ 9am this morning for my New Media project and then Vala and I tried to fix the final part of our document. After the guest lecture ( finally we have lecture after the Easter break otherwise I probably won't see some of my classmates again!!) Jasmin and I just went to the Garden( it is just right in front of our building) and we took many pictures. After that, because we were so hungry so we just hopped to Nendo's, a Portuguese restaurant in city centre to have our supper. After we finished our drink we found out that it was raining outside ( what a surprise!! We didn't even notice it!!) and then we walked home and we decided to go to the Bute Park for a walk tomorrow!!

well I feel a bit panic now! the more I read for my dissertation, the more I think that I haven't read enough. Now I am really confused. The good thing (also a bad thing) is- we don't have any lecture anymore! But this make me bored. I wanna go out!! I wanna play!!

I am actually going London for applying US visa. Since I was in London already, I decided to see Les Mis this time ( I saw Phantom last time before I went home). Les Mis and Phantom are the two musicals that I wish to see them most. It was great , I have to say. Though this is already a world- known story then I won't tell the story again here. I sat on G row in stall stage( the ground floor), and it was cool. I can see actors ruuning infront of me and see their faces clearly. I really like to see musicals because it is so different to see it in movie. Now I am excited about the Cat in New Theatre in the end of June.

Apr. 15 BCA 2006 University Competition

I have to say I am impressive about that, even though the rules are different. The competition is held in International Centre Telford, a place that I have never heard before. I woke up at 3: 30 in the morning to catch up the train and this made me nearly fall asleep in the afternoon during the dancing divisions. In fact they did much better than I thought!! The stunts somehow look dangerous but the dances are amazing. I am quite happy when I see some squade 's performance. Good job!!

Easter

Right, I haven't written anything in this blog for a long while. We are now having our Easter break at this moment... but you can hardly call it as a 'break' at all... lots of works to do. Until now it has been a week and I did the work everyday. The weather is nice and the sky is blue...maybe I should go out and take a rest tomorrow.

Happy birthday to me!!

I had a great time this after noon... although I did lots works for making cakes, it is happy. The party today was sucessful and I am glad to have so many friends celebrating my birthday with me. Thanks for Nicki being so nice to me..she is the best flatmate in the world, and thanks for people coming to my party.. especially Lori and Sandra...they posposed their work and appointment because of my party. Thanks for Jasmin and Yoshi and Nicki(again) for the lovely presents. Thanks for Vala for the chocolate cake and Kari's handmade card. Happy!^^
